The modern day chains that we experience can come in a variety of forms. Addictions and habits that we just can’t seem to shake can feel like prisons where we are chained to the very thing we want freedom from. We may even hate the thing we are doing, much like Paul described in Romans 7:18-19. But there’s one thing that can bring us out of that shackle—JESUS CHRIST.
In the book of Acts, the apostles understood the incredible power they had in the name of Jesus. They recognized that everything in Heaven and on earth must ultimately bow to that name (Philippians 2:9-11).
Every sickness, addiction, problem, financial need, relationship conflict—they ALL must bow to the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
If you’re going through a difficult situation right now, I encourage you to call on the name of Jesus. Speak His powerful name over the circumstances you are facing. And remember: when you submit your life fully to God, you can resist the devil, and he MUST flee from you (James 4:7)!
