At Your Word, I will let down the net

Luke 5:4-6 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “ʟᴀᴜɴᴄʜ ᴏᴜᴛ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅᴇᴇᴘ ᴀɴᴅ ʟᴇᴛ ᴅᴏᴡɴ ʏᴏᴜʀ ɴᴇᴛs ғᴏʀ ᴀ ᴄᴀᴛᴄʜ.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑨𝑻 𝒀𝑶𝑼𝑹 𝑾𝑶𝑹𝑫 𝑰 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒕.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.

Simon Peter was a fisherman. They had been out fishing all night, with no returns. But when Jesus gave His instruction, Simon chose to believe, and “at Your word” he did what Jesus said – no whys, maybes, or what ifs. Simon did an act of faith and was submissive to the will of God.

God is only hindered in blessing us to the degree we can believe. He is only limited by our faith, not His willingness or ability. God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we ask or think. It is up to us what we can believe God for, so let’s use our faith and obey His Word.
