Under the Law or Under Grace?

You often hear the argument that we are not under law but under grace but what does it mean to be under grace and does this mean we no longer have to obey the Ten Commandments ?

Some Christians have often used this verse from Romans 6:14 to justify living in a sinful lifestyle.

Is that what the verse means? In the strongest possible language, Paul states that being under grace does not give a license to break the law. In Romans 6:15-16, Paul writes: “What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? BY NO MEANS! Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?”
